Custom garden beds

Custom garden beds, done properly — from the first bed to jars on the shelf.

We design the bed, build it, fill it, plan what grows in it, keep on top of the weeding, and bring in the harvest — then can it, so it lasts past the season. Most garden services stop at mowing. We go all the way to your pantry shelf.

  • Design through harvest — one team
  • We can and preserve what you grow
  • Beds closed down properly each winter

What we offer

What we do

Every stage of a kitchen or vegetable garden, from the first idea to jars on the shelf in winter. Pick what you need — a single bed, or all of it.

  • 01

    Custom garden bed design

We start with your garden as it is — the light it gets, the space you have, and what you actually want to eat — and design beds to suit it rather than to a catalogue.

  • 02

    Bed building and installation

We build the beds and set them in place, so the first job you do in your new garden is planting rather than carpentry.

  • 03

    Soil supply and filling

Beds filled with soil chosen for what is going to grow in them. The part most people underestimate, and the one that decides the first season.

  • 04

    Planting plans

What goes where, and what follows it. Planned around your household's eating and the length of the season rather than a fixed list.

  • 05

    Weekly weeding and upkeep

We come back through the season and keep on top of it, so a garden stays a pleasure rather than becoming a chore you avoid.

  • 06

    Harvesting

Picking through the season at the point each crop is actually ready — the difference between a good harvest and a glut you cannot use.

  • 07

    Canning and preserving

The harvest put up so it lasts past the season. Not many garden services go this far, and it is the part that makes the garden pay you back all winter.

    Winterizing

Beds cut back, protected and closed down properly in autumn, so spring starts from a garden that came through the winter well.

Simple from the start

One team, start to finish

  1. 1

    Design

We start with your garden as it is — the light it gets, the space you have, and what you actually want to eat — and design beds to suit it.

  2. 2

    Build

Beds built and set in place, so the first job you do in your new garden is planting, not carpentry.

  3. 3

    Fill

Filled with soil chosen for what is going into it — the part most people underestimate, and the one that decides the first season.

  4. 4

    Plant

A planting plan mapped to your household's eating and the length of the season, rather than a fixed list.

  5. 5

    Tend

We come back through the season and keep on top of the weeding, so the garden stays a pleasure rather than a chore.

  6. 6

    Harvest

Picked at the point each crop is actually ready — the difference between a good harvest and a glut you cannot use.

  7. 7

    Preserve & winterize

What you grow, canned so it lasts past the season. Beds cut back and closed down properly, so spring starts from a garden that came through the winter well.

Tell us about your garden and what you would like from it — a single bed, a full season of upkeep, or anything in between. We will come and take a look and give you a clear price before anything starts. The visit costs nothing.

Before you ask

Common questions

Do you just build the bed, or look after it too?
Either. Start with a single bed if that is all you want, or have us build it, fill it, plan what goes in, weed it through the season, harvest it, can what you grow, and close it down for winter. You choose where the job stops.
Do I need to know what to plant?
No — planning what to plant is one of the services. Tell us what your household actually eats, and we will map out what goes where and what follows it.
Why aren't prices listed?
Because they'd be guesses. Every property is different, so we look at the job first and then give you one clear price — rather than a number that changes once we arrive.
What happens after I get in touch?
We read it, and someone replies. Nothing is automated past this page, and we don't pass your details to anyone.
